Special Opportunity
The eighth grade is searching for a seventh grader to play piano at graduation. Graduation is immediately following the awards ceremony on 5/4.
Schedule Changes:
Since the 5th grade will be EOG testing this week, we are asking that you send a snack with your student. (No heat-ups please!) We will have limited access to the vending machine due to testing in the building so do not send money this week.
Hollywood Party
Dear Parents: In order to promote positive reinforcement during the EOGs the seventh grade team would like to present an incentive program to encourage high performance on the EOG tests. Students will be highly encouraged to pass the tests on the first round. To this end we want to reward the students for their efforts. The students will have two opportunities to be rewarded.
First, students will earn stars for their performance in a series of classroom review sessions. Each star will lead up to a coveted “Golden Ticket” to a Hollywood type celebration. Students will have a period of fun and relaxation in exchange for working hard! The Hollywood party will be on May 11th.
Second, students will be rewarded for performing well on their EOGs in round one. The teachers will assign tickets for a raffle. The teachers will complete and put the tickets into a bin for the big draw. To make this event a success we need you! Please see the following list of needed donations.
